Sure. Just interested in how it's fastened to the motor mount. Can't find that clip in my box of parts

 

Got in early, traffic was a breeze.

My fuel pump line fitting was frozen and soaking for 3 days didnt help so I got a length of 5/16" of steel line and made one



My bending tool couldn't bend such a tight radius like the original so its a bit bigger



Just used the double flare part of the flaring tool






I didn't realize how close this line was to the exhaust manifold

 

Not a big fan of the taped look or the blue connector look so I pulled the blue pc off, added some shrink tube and made things look nicer

 

that really is much nicer.

Agree more pro looking. Wouldn't hurt to re-do all in question since they are easy to get to right now. Very nice job.

By the way. Do you have that original heat shield that bolts onto the front of the head and goes down between the fuel pump and the exhaust manifold? It's made to fit those two bolt holes beside your fuel filter. Just a thin metal shield bent to form partly around the filter and pump.

 

No, didn't know one goes there. I guess mine didn't have one. Do you have a photo of it ?
You mean I need to do another search for an obsolete part ??? Ugh

Lower portion ion has a curve to it.

Is that bracket for the fuel filter factory ? Never seen one of those either

 

As far as I know, yes. PO was my uncle and he never put anything ON unless it was required to run. Took lots of things OFF if he thought it superfluous.

Not too much progress. I got the fuel lines and heat shield blasted and painted. Installed them today (clamps to follow ) I have my radiator at a shop getting recored and painted like new. Then I'll probably bring the chassis to a custom muffler shop to get the exhaust on. Same price as waldron but they're so busy its an 8 week wait. Then we fire her up.

 

Still no clue on where these fuel lines go from here, how they were routed or what material was used. I've read everything from rubber to plastic to steel, along the pass side frame rail, or over the bellhousing and transmission or along drivers side rail. :-( FSM has along pass frame rail but no clue on material used for my yr. Help
