Its actually the drivers side. It almost looks like a coupler of some type is missing.

Good idea going with the Willys version, I cant see the top part so dont know if it is correct. All of that info is on the CJ3B page, surprising number of variations over the years that few would notice.

I can take a picture of mine tomorrow if you want. There should be a "doughnut " built into that side of the manifold for the exhaust flange to fit over

No kidding, I didn't realize that. Its an all steel Omix-Ada version I ordered directly from Mopar via eBay.

And thanks John, I'd like to see what yours looks like.

No real changes from the first CJ2A through the last of the CJ5s as far as I know, other than some that had no tailgates. They will all interchange. Some said Willys, some said Jeep and some had no name stamp. Along the top some were different as to where some of the notches were and where the footman loops go, some were 1/2 punched for the footman loops and some weren't. As I said, go to the 3B page, it's all there. Both of my tail gates look like 3B tailgates, nothing special. OK, the Commando tailgate is another animal. Welding up the 6 holes in one of them was fun, particually the four through the Willys stamp and grinding everything to look right, darn POs.

Looks like a one piece system, now I'm more confused.

Yeah, that looks like something I saw floating around the garage before we cleaned up a bit. I thinked I tossed it by mistake.

Here a few updates as it sits. Here is also a few shots on the new tail gate. My project is slow moving, I work full time and I have a one year old that keeps me pretty busy (Best job I've ever had). I also have the Upol kit to do the bed liner on the tub, I just haven't gotten to it yet:

This is a "frame on" resto mod if you haven't figured that out yet.

Ist coat of epoxy primer went down. Using black I found a few areas of the body that need to be touched up. I'll apply two more coats of epoxy primer in the next week or so after I touch up the areas that need some loving.

Did you shoot it with a gun or rattle can?

I always use a gun, in my experience rattle can jobs don't hold up well over time.

Lovin in progress . . . the nice thing about black epoxy is that it shows every body flaw imaginable, so I marked the flaws with blue painters tape so I can go back over them before the next coat is applied. That area adjacent to the filler neck had like 6 very small dents I couldn't see before the epoxy was applied; hense the body filler of which 99% will be sanded off.

I took one step forward and two steps backwards. I hit it with 220 and I shot the hood and fenders with the second coat, but the primer I used laid down like crap, so parts of it will have to be hit and primed again. I'm going to back to using the Eastwood epoxy, as it laid down the best from what I've noticed.

Just in case some of you were wondering what product I was using, I'd add this to the products I'll avoid using in the future.

1st Coat- Combination of Self Etch and Eastwood Epoxy Primer using a SP-33000 gun with a 1.8 tip (A winning combination IMHO)
2nd Coat- Evercoat G2 Primer Surfacer using a SP-33000 gun with 2.0 tip (This product killed my gun, extremely thick stuff once harder is added)
3rd Coat- PCL Epoxy Primer using a Summit Racing Gun with a 1.8 tip (I wouldn't recommend this combination)

Hindsight 20/20- I should have just ordered what I needed from Eastwood, but I got impatient and just went down to my local paint store and picked up the PCL. Now I'll have to sand it back down and reapply the 3rd coat.

    No bueno
