    Yup, I realized that John. I think others here did too.

    Hence my comment about not trusting it. Just grease on wheel bearings for me thanks.

    Well kamel there seems to be some variations over time then, my copy, figure 14 says check every 1000 miles, change every 12,000 miles, universal joint lubricant, #1 in summer, #0 in winter, it also gives this as the same lubricant for the u-joints on the drive shafts.

    Ok, say I have knuckles full of grease (and I do), what is to keep that grease from migrating into the pumpkin? is there a seal in there?

    All front axles have inner seals.

    Where are they located, at the pumpkin or at the axel end?

    is it going to hurt them when I slide an axel back in, I have the knuckle apart right now.
