Transmission And Transfer Case Oil

    The transfer case doesn’t care, just the transmission. If they share lube then it matters.

    They do share the same lube and I have a warn overdrive on pto out. I will also check for yellow metals in the oil drain. Let me say this has been a mess.

    Why not replace with one of the options that have been posted already? The FSM says GL4 90, not 50...

    x2. I have never been unable to obtain the lube specified in the FSMs. Why not use it???

    My reasoning is i am trying to use the same oil as in a 5spd getrag transmission. Also I am trying to move to synthetic oils which is what I use in the Dodge. I have also used in a Toyota 6 spd. Maybe the wrong reasoning, I happen to have this oil in bulk on my farm.
