I saw someone mention that 11" brakes are available in a kit. Can anyone tell me where? I might be interested in doing that, if I could get a kit with everything in it, and didn't have to scrounge the salvage yards.

    Thanks!

You may want to try NickMil I bought a preassembled kit from him at a very good price. Around $100 plus shipping if I remember right. Used parts but all reconditioned nicely. Drums turned and painted new master cylinders. Backplates looked to beadblasted then painted all springs and adjusters.

To all...I just received this email from Herm The Overdrive Guy...

    Hi Ron,

As soon as my computer guru helps me put it on my
website I will have an 11" brake kit for the CJ's with
the t/f case mounted e-brake asembly and an 11" brake
kit for the pickups and wagons with the cable e-brake
at the rear wheels. All brand new, drums,
cylinders, hardware, adjusters, shoes and complete with
backing plates assembled and ready to install with 6
little bolts. They will be priced at $550.00 and
$600.00 respectively and weigh in at 100#.

    Herm

    Oorah!

Yeah, and the "email for quote" thingy on his site leads me to believe he probably wants 3X as much as R&P too!

If ya hafta ask, ya can't afford it.

Ron - get them from Nick - if he has them available.

I have 2 sets - all four corners from R&P and have been great.

All of my dealings with Herm would tell me they will be great as well.

The Kits make it a Saturday job, with time left for some :stout: :stout:

I remember when the "kits", all 4 wheels, sold for $175-$195 !
Herms price will be for all 4 wheels, no doubt
and all brand new components to boot !

I just recently bought 4 used 11" backing plates and drums and was wondering is anyone knows were I can get the plates and drums sandblasted. Does it make sence to pay to recondition the drums or should I buy new. All the other brake parts I have bought new.
    I live in New Jersey
