There seems to be a lot of 1956 CJ5's represented here, I'm curious just how many there are....

Can everyone that has a '56 CJ5 raise their hand? Or at least say hey?

That's six. There's also ellislives in Denver and another Denver area '56 whose handle I can't recall, so that's eight.

Not rolling anywhere yet, Dave :) , I'm just wondering how many bretheren here have '56's. I've noticed a lot mentioned, thought I'd try for a count. I might have a '56 specific question someday and this way I'll know who to ask! :D

I was born in '56, my first Harley was a '56, my first Jeep is a '56, I lust for a '56 Chevy and another '56 Harley, etc. Guess I have a thing for 1956...

My high school football number was 56. Coincidence? I think not...

I think I drank 56 draft beers once. I know I felt that I threw up at least that many times.

Looks like there's CT, also....that's nine.

THAT'S why I don't drink draft beer anymore! I knew there was a good reason, besides the headaches.

Another '56 here! Now, how many still have the speedo with white numbers 1-8?

I can't tell, mine's buried too deep in the pile to dig out. Can't believe I don't have a photo of my dash anywhere. But I'm thinking it wne to 9. What's the signifigance of the 1-8?

Going to 9 is like spinal tap going to 11. :) Of course the needle should never point to either 8 or 9 if your jeep is a stock '56. The original speedo should be large block numeral 1-8 with a white needle, I think (correct me if I'm wrong) the truck/wagons went 1-9.
