    Sure. Howell sells turnkey TBI, ca $1200. There's also a Mopar MPI kit from HESCO, ca $2200. Apply cash liberally and it will reveal many possibilities.

    Also, since we found flat fendered frames, he's gonna go that route..(with a modern drive train)

    The engine compartment is too short for an inline 6 on a flatty or an early CJ-5 without moving the firewall back. You can put a flat-fender body on a later frame - see the article on the CJ-3B page. Flat front fenders and hood could be stretched to fit the later frame.

    The wheelbase on a flatty is really short - everybody today wants a LONGER wheelbase, around 90-100" or more. Be sure that's what you want before you buy.

    Short wheelbase is fine. There's already a 2005 Wrangler for everything else. This was gonna be a fun show car
